This rooster is done from a photograph that I have had for a while. I was drawn to it because of his beautiful colors. I painted him several years ago in oil but wanted to try him this time in acrylics. I was surprised how similar they are even though I didn’t look at the other painting when painting. I love painting in both oil and acrylic but have been especially enjoying the acrylics lately because I am using a complimentary and that always makes the colors vibrant. This is and 8”x10” acrylic on canvas.
