I am doing a series of birds found on our North Carolina coast. I am usually such a literal painter and have trouble letting loose and being playful. I started with a complimentary underpainting and I love the way this painting turned out because I had fun with the colors and design and didn't worry so much about the subject. This acrylic painting is 6”x6” and is painted on a gessobord.
